Assistant Teacher General
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Teacher are to assist the certified teacher in giving the students additional help and instructions.
Duties:
1.
Conduct classes as prescribed by the teacher if needed.
2.
Provide individual tutoring.
3.
Assist the teacher in grading papers.
4.
Preparing classroom material as needed.
5.
Help maintain all files and records.
6.
Maintain classroom discipline and enforce class rules.
7.
Maintain quality compliance and health and safety standards throughout the classrooms.
8.
Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
9.
Participate in the PQI Program as requested.
10.
Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
11.
Any other job-related duties assigned by Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
Qualifications and
Experience:
The Assistant Teacher must have either completed a minimum of 60 semester hours at a college or university or hold at least an associate degree.
No felony convictions.
